The 250 best-performing participants will receive vouchers for AWS international certification and will participate in the selection process for vacancies at Santander's F1RST.

Santander, together with F1RST, Santander's technology company, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), a global leader in cloud computing, announce the opening of registration for the Santander Code Girls Bootcamp, a program offering 5,000 free scholarships exclusively for women, focusing on technology training. The educational path was designed to ensure learning AWS technologies with practical application in cloud computing and DevOps concepts. Interested participants can register until August 3, 2025, through the Santander Open Academy at the link. https://c.dio.me/code-girls-2025. It is not necessary to have prior knowledge or be a customer of the Bank to participate.

The program will cover everything from basic concepts to advanced automation and DevOps practices, covering the fundamentals of cloud computing, instance management, networking, databases, security, and advanced services, including Lambda, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools. It also explores security, development, and automation best practices, providing a solid foundation for those who want to delve deeper into AWS and utilize its services efficiently and securely.

All scholarship recipients will have free online access to the learning path offered by DIO (Digital Innovation One), a Latin American open technology education ecosystem that connects talent with real opportunities through courses, practical projects, and challenges developed in partnership with major companies.

The track covers the core fundamentals and essential services for users preparing for the official AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. The 250 highest-performing graduates will receive vouchers with a 100% discount for the certification exam. Additionally, the students will compete for Technology Analyst positions at F1RST, located in São Paulo. F1RST currently has over 40 analysts hired through the program, solidifying the initiative as a gateway for women in the technology sector.

"At AWS, we believe that diversity drives innovation. Santander Code Girls is a transformative initiative that opens doors for women in cloud computing and contributes to a more inclusive technology sector," says Fabio Filho, head of Global Education Initiatives at AWS. "We are excited to collaborate on this program, which offers quality education, recognized certifications, and career opportunities, helping to bridge the skills gap and strengthen the female presence in technology." "At F1RST, we always encourage employees to accelerate their professional careers by offering high-level training, certifications, and development. Initiatives like Code Girls promote diversity and boost the participation of women in technology and innovation, in addition to transforming students into programming experts," highlights Richard Flavio da Silva, CEO of F1RST.

Code Girls is now in its 3rd edition and has already impacted more than 14,000 professionals, training them in strategic areas of the technology market. The initiative aims to increase female representation in a growing environment, but still marked by inclusion challenges. According to the "Women in IT 2023" survey, conducted by Pretalab, women represent less than 20% of IT professionals in Brazil, with an even smaller presence in technical and leadership positions.

"This scenario reinforces the need to expand access and qualifications for women in this market. The project acts as a gateway to transforming this scenario, promoting inclusion, diversity, and opportunities for a sector that demands prepared and innovative professionals," says Márcio Giannico, Senior Head of Government, Institutions, Education, and Universia at Banco Santander.
