The company simplified and integrated processes, facilitating the routine of employees in the accountability of their expenses with business trips

 

Sanofi, the largest pharmaceutical company in the Brazilian market, chose the SAP Concur solution to support a modernization program and improve, simplify and standardize the processing of the different financial services of its five business units in the country. global, maintains a staff of 4,700 employees in Brazil, many of whom have access to the SAP Concur application for managing expenses.
 
After a review of processes and policies, the company began a rigorous process of choosing the solution capable of helping to automate processes, put the new policies into practice and, more than that, ensure that they were complied with. The choice fell on SAP Concur, implemented with the support of a specialized consultant and with the involvement of Sanofi's commercial area.
 
The work was greatly facilitated by the fact that SAP Concur runs remotely, in the cloud, and in just two months the solution was up and running. The solution was integrated with the business management system, SAP ERP, already used by Sanofi. There were also employee training sessions to ensure that the new policy, rules and use of the solution were absorbed by all.
 
 
Benefits for the company and employees
 
From the beginning of SAP Concur's operation, Sanofi's employees began to make refund requests automatically, from any device, mobile or not, connected to the internet. “The employee can request reimbursements as they incur expenses. You can do this remotely, on the way to the client, for example. They no longer need to wait to accumulate or spend time outside working hours to do this”, says Valeria Soska, director of Concur in Brazil.
 
As part of the project, Sanofi also created automatic controls that help employees control their expenses. The SAP Concur system alerts you to refund thresholds if they are exceeded. With this, the user becomes aware that he will proactively exceed the refund limit. The elimination of manual rendering of accounts, giving way to a completely automated system, resulted in a more efficient control of employees' expenses.
 
Another benefit obtained was the control and audit of expenses, which became much easier. Sanofi was able to configure the system so that specific expenses, such as car maintenance, could be analyzed in detail. Other benefits pointed out by Sanofi are productivity and control gain, with obtaining a much broader view of what is reimbursed, eliminating undue requests or duplicate invoices. Soon, the company also foresees that travel requests will be simplified, Sanofi employees can request and manage their flight reservations directly through the application.
