Turnover of IT professionals is one of the highest

Top IT executives stay, on average, 2.6 years in the same company, a turnover considered high when compared to other sectors, such as consumer goods, where the average is 31.08% higher, with 3.8 years . This is what a study by Hays Executive points out, a company specialized in hiring professionals for senior management positions.

“One of the explanations for this is that the technology market is dynamic and professionals are hired for short-term projects. More and more companies are migrating to IT platforms and this is the mission of these professionals. Remuneration

With regard to remuneration, the survey shows that the IT sector executive receives an average gross monthly salary of 16.54% higher than that of consumer goods, not counting bonuses, benefits and other awards. “The technology area pays above average compared to many other sectors. Even so, we noticed that the company's management and direction matter more than salaries when it comes to changing jobs”, adds Paulo.
