Executive was chosen to lead the Association for the next three years

 

Rodolfo Fücher is the new President of ABES. The election, which took place on March 21, also elected engineer Paulo Milliet Roque, with experience in international negotiation, founding partner of Brasoft, former partner of Brasoftware, currently Director of the Digiforte Certification Authority, as the entity's Vice President , and defined the new members of the executive board for the next three years: Vanda Scartezini, senior partner at Polo Consultores Associados, President of the DNS Women Institute and Chairman of the Sitec Foundation Board; Fábio Rua, director of Government and Regulatory Affairs at IBM Latin America; and Lauro de Lauro, Senior Cloud Guru at Sky.One Cloud Solutions.
 
 
On the occasion, the entity invested in the annual renewal of 1/3 of the Deliberative Council. The former president of ABES, Francisco Camargo, and Jorge Sukarie assume as President and Vice President of the Board, respectively.
 
Specialist in public policy, digital strategy and governance, Rodolfo Fücher has over 35 years of career in the technology market, 27 of them dedicated to Microsoft, where he served as director of Corporate Relations. Graduated in Data Processing from Mackenzie University, Postgraduate in Marketing from ESPM, and with specializations in large American institutions such as Columbia Business School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Wharton and University of California, Fücher concentrated his career in building public policies for through coalitions of industry associations, defining investments in corporate and philanthropic social responsibility, developing corporate marketing strategies and structuring company sales areas.
 
Currently, Fücher is a founding partner of FEMP Administração e Participações, a consultancy in digital transformation, management and public policies for entrepreneurs and philanthropic organizations.
 
For more than 12 years, he was a member of the board of directors of ABES and assumes the presidency of the entity at a time when the sector has as main agendas, themes such as the new general data protection law (LGPD), IoT, Artificial Intelligence and 5G. According to Fücher, "Regulatory issues will continue to be a priority for the entity, because they define the level of competitiveness and viability of the sector and, consequently, make it more or less attractive for foreign investments, an essential point for the growth and development of Brazil. We are losing space globally. According to the latest competitiveness report from the World Economic Forum, Brazil fell from 69th to 72nd among 140 countries analyzed. ABES and its associates are committed to collaborating to reverse this situation and we believe that technology has a fundamental role in making Brazil a less unequal country ", he says.
 
The new directors' inauguration dinner for members is scheduled for April 1, in São Paulo, at the Cantaloup restaurant.
