The municipality of Ribeirão Preto, known as the economic and service center of one of the most prosperous regions in Brazil, won its startup accelerator this week. Project of a group of entrepreneurs in the area of information technology, Sevna Seed aims to offer conditions for entrepreneurs and their innovative businesses at an early stage to be improved to consolidate in the market in a fast and sustainable way.
 
Sevna Seed, which is hosted at Supera Parque, a technology park in Ribeirão Preto, appears as a neighbor and partner of the USP campus in Ribeirão Preto, which brings together almost 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Within a radius of 100 kilometers, there are also campuses of Unesp, USP and federal universities, such as UFSCar, in addition to private universities.
 
Maintained by Instituto Sevna, a non-profit institution, SEVNA Seed also stands out for its team of founders-mentors, which brings together entrepreneurs with practical experience in creating companies in the technology segment with international operations, including IPOs in Brazil and abroad, venture capital, sale of assets, etc.
 
“Sevna Seed is supported by the tripod: innovative idea, competence and execution capacity”, says CEO Ricardo Agostinho. “The experience of the team and its founders shows that innovation, knowledge to put the idea into operation and the desire to undertake and win are the basis of a solid and profitable business”, concludes the executive.
