Respect for the Democratic Rule of Law and commitment to ethics

Pillars for overcoming the political and economic crisis

The IT and ICT sector, represented by the entities that sign this manifesto, express concern about the serious political and economic crisis that is befalling the country and declare unconditional respect for the Democratic Rule of Law, commitment to ethics and trust in Brazil.

The economic difficulties, evidenced by the drop in the gross domestic product and persistent high inflation, have taken a high price from the Brazilian population in terms of unemployment and impact on workers' income. The fiscal situation undermines the confidence of economic agents, inhibiting investments. We urgently need to work towards increasing the efficiency of the Brazilian State so that the level and quality of services to citizens are maintained, perhaps improved, even in the face of tight budget allocations. Information and communication technology products and services are powerful instruments that enable productivity and operational excellence, being enhanced by digital transformation and related technologies.

The worsening of the political crisis has led to increasing agitation and anguish within society and undesirable lethargy - or even paralysis - in different spheres of the three branches of the Republic. We urge national political leaderships to seek, incessantly, solutions that allow the overcoming of impasses, always circumscribed to the constitutional order and its consequences within the scope of the law. It is also necessary to persevere in the investigation and prosecution of all those who have engaged in criminal conduct causing damage to the State, within the relevant legal limits. However, it is urgent to do so quickly, so that we reach a level of stability that allows a minimum of governance.

Strict observance of the laws and careful ethical conduct must be a guiding principle in the treatment of public and private interests. It is from the healthy, effective and dynamic exercise of this confluence that we have managed to build a great nation, with perennial world leadership and social justice.

This joint manifestation is consistent with the neutral and non-partisan profile of the entities represented and with their work on behalf of the IT and ICT sector and the country's best interest.

We are all for Brazil!
