Event takes place on May 7, in a Seminar on Innovation, Productivity and Security

Next day 07 From May, Thursday, ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies) brings together representatives of Industry and the Executive Branch in Brasília, DF at the Seminar “Government and the IT Sector - Guarantee of Innovation, Productivity and Security”. On the occasion, the entity's president, Jorge Sukarie, will present a preview of the Brazilian Software and Services Market Study, referring to 2014, produced with IDC.

"This is an opportune moment for topics relevant to the IT sector, such as Marco Civil and data protection, to be widely discussed with the industry and representatives of the executive branch", comments Jorge Sukarie, president of ABES.
The opening of the event will be led by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Aldo Rebelo. Then, the president of ABES will present the panel: “The IT sector in Brazil: relevance and opportunities”, with the first results on the Study of the Software and Services Market, conducted with IDC, for the year 2014 .
 
Jeovani Salomão, president of Assespro, will be the moderator of the Panel: “New technologies and their effects on public administration”, which will include Fábio Gandour, Chief Scientist at IBM Brasil; Luiz Sergio Pires, Chief Scientist at Microsoft Brazil; Marcos Vinícius Mazoni, president of SERPRO; and Cristiano Heckert, Secretary of SLTI - Secretariat of Logistics and Information Technology of the Ministry of Planning.
 
The third panel: “Privacy and Security: international practices” will be led by Sérgio Paulo Gallindo, president of BRASSCOM, with the participation of Federal Dep. Izalci Lucas Ferreira (PSDB - DF); Victoria A. Espinel (president and CEO of BSA - The Software Alliance); and Maristela Basso (Lawyer and Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law - USP). The closing will be carried out by Ricardo Berzoni, Minister of Communications.
