Red Hat, a leading provider of Open Source solutions, announced the worldwide launch of the Red Hat Cloud and Service Provider certification program. The program expands Red Hat's cloud ecosystem to include and better support distributors, managed service providers, and other partners who are heavily involved in all aspects of building hybrid clouds, not just multi-owner public clouds.
 
“Red Hat's Certified Cloud and Service Provider is intended to include nearly all service provider models, from public clouds to managed on-premises services, providing our customers with a reliable, stable, and secure partner ecosystem on which to can build the next generation of IT projects using Red Hat solutions,” said Michael Ferris, Director of Architecture and Business at Red Hat.
 
As the model for cloud providers expands to include solutions for building private clouds, container-based Linux infrastructure, and Platform-as-a-Service – PaaS, additional flexibility is needed to help these providers better meet the needs of cloud providers. customer needs for cloud-based Red Hat technologies. Red Hat's Certified Cloud and Service Provider program addresses this need not only by expanding partner support, but also by increasing the choice of Red Hat solutions available to these partners, including:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform
• Red Hat JBoss Middleware
• Red Hat Gluster Storage
 
As Red Hat continues to focus on delivering innovation through the Open Source model for enterprise IT, the Cloud and Certified Service Provider portfolio is expected to grow to include these new project-ready technologies. Additionally, customers can use Red Hat Cloud Access to deploy certain Red Hat product subscriptions to Certified Cloud and Service Provider cloud offerings seamlessly and seamlessly.
 
Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider program designation is granted to Red Hat partners after validation by the company itself. Each provider needs to meet testing and certification requirements to show that they can deliver a secure, scalable, supported and consistent environment for enterprise cloud deployments. The globally unified program gives customers independent software vendors (ISVs) and partners the trust of Red Hat product experts who have validated solutions so that deployments can begin on a solid foundation.
 
At launch, Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Providers included 13 of the 15 service providers nominated by Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Worldwide1 with Red Hat's overall cloud partner ecosystem, growing by 58% compared to the previous year.
