Collaboration aims to foster adoption of open source technologies

PromonLogicalis, provider of information and communication technology solutions and services in Latin America, has just entered into a partnership with Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open source software solutions. Together, the companies intend to help organizations digitally transform their infrastructures, paving the way for software-defined and cloud technologies, as well as increasing awareness of open source technologies in the region.

Open source has been delivering significant development on several technological fronts through innovations driven by the power of communities, including cloud computing, mobility and big data, among others. And, as companies embrace modern technologies as a competitive advantage via digital transformation efforts, many are turning to open source because of the flexibility and agility it offers.

“The digital transformation of infrastructure is a key element in supporting the growing adoption of new technologies in organizations. The change is closely related to the influence of software on infrastructure, and by working with Red Hat, we hope to be a catalyst for open standards projects in the region, helping to bring digital transformation to our customers”, says Renata Randi, director of marketing and alliances of PromonLogicalis for Latin America.

“The partnership with PromonLogicalis intends to offer help to customers who are undergoing digital transformation and who need high-level services. Open source software like the Red Had OpenStack platform offers a more modern, highly scalable and flexible foundation to enable digital transformation. We are delighted to be working with PromonLogicalis to expand the reach of the Red Hat OpenStack platform and other open source solutions in Latin America.”
