Document published in the Official Gazette of the Union should generate a minimum savings of 10,87% in the costs of acquiring licenses and technical support for 22 products of the multinational reference in data analytics

The Digital Government Secretariat (SGD) of the Ministry of Economy and Qlik, a multinational reference in solutions for data analysis and integration, signed a price agreement to be charged to the federal government in the bidding for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products . The expectation of the corporate agreement is to generate a minimum savings of 10,87% in the costs of acquiring licenses and technical support for the multinational's products.

The objective of the initiative is to standardize government procurement, reducing costs and simplifying processes for the Federal Public Administration. The average discount stipulated is based on the ratio of the highest prices contracted by the government in the last three years. In 2020, the total estimated savings with the establishment of agreements and catalogs with the main ICT suppliers is R$ 112 million.

The catalogs with price limits for purchased products are already published on the Digital Government portal. Thus, public agencies can only purchase products from Qlik and other companies that signed the agreement following the maximum values stipulated in the list. The catalog signed with Qlik includes 22 items, including the acquisition of licenses for products on the Qlik platform, such as Qlik Sense. Negotiation can also serve as a parameter for legislative and judicial bodies.

"This procedure is part of our commitment to optimize the hiring of solutions from major software manufacturers. It is also important to note that the practices are aligned with the guidelines of the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU)", says Luis Felipe Monteiro, Secretary of Government Digital. "Thus, we give more transparency and speed to the process, rationalizing resources for the State", he completes.

For Eduardo Kfouri, vice president and general manager of Qlik for Latin America, the agreement is a milestone in the form of technology acquisition by the government. "This is a model that reinforces a tendency to reduce bureaucracy and austerity, which should standardize the processes for acquiring technologies for digital transformation in more than 200 public agencies", he says. "The agreement reaffirms Qlik's commitment to providing the government with the most modern technology for analyzing and integrating data and making decisions, at a fair price", he concludes.
