THE ABES ACADEMY, ABES' new continuing education and training sector, began this Monday (25/05) the classes of the second class of the course on data protection, privacy and information security in Brazil, which this time will be held 100% online. In addition to the legal approach, the course provides guidance on how to implement processes and governance in companies in compliance with the General Data Protection Law. The class brings together 33 professionals from different areas. 

The online course "General Data Protection Law: Fundamentals and Implementation" offers participants an important theoretical knowledge and, mainly, practical information for adapting the organization to the LGPD, highlighting the diagnostic steps, mapping the existing data held by the organization, defining procedures and processes, defining those responsible and governance. The training will be held in 8 classes, from 4 pm to 7 pm, from 25 to 28/05 and 01 to 04/06), with a total workload of 24 hours.

According to the report extracted from the tool "LGPD Diagnosis", developed by ABES in partnership with the EY consultancy, only 38% of the companies that carried out the diagnosis demonstrated that they were in accordance with the requirements made by the new privacy law in the following domains: Processes, People and Technology. The diagnosis has been carried out, so far, by more than 400 organizations from the sectors of agribusiness, technology, finance, industry, among other segments, and is still on the air to be answered by interested parties. The diagnosis is free of charge and, at the end, the participant receives guidance to improve their processes in accordance with the requirements and good practices established by legislation.
