Pitch Gov.SP 2.0 brings challenges in eight areas of public services

 

After a successful first edition, the Government of the State of São Paulo opens, once again, in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Startups, applications for new projects, bringing the Government and startups together in the search for innovative solutions to the challenges of administration. public, improving services to the citizen. 
 
 A great novelty of this 2nd edition of Pitch Gov SP is the partnership with the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (Fapesp), which will make available, through the Partnership for Innovative Research in Small Businesses (PIPE) Program, up to R$ 10 million to support startups interested in testing the technological feasibility of an innovative product, process or service or developing research related to the challenges of public administration proposed by the Government of the State of São Paulo.
 
As in the first edition, the State Government will present new challenges for startups to submit projects that help improve the public service in that area. This year, the solutions should serve the areas of Education, Statistics and Data Analysis, Public Finance, Housing, Sanitation and Energy, Health, Transparency and Transport. 16 startups should be selected to develop solutions that can solve problems in these sectors.
 
Applications are due until October 15th through the website: www.pitchgov.sp.gov.br/, where startups will register on the platform, including company information, its team, what the proposed solution is, for which challenge it applies and the expected benefits in implementing the solution between the Government and the startup. The winners will be presented on October 27, at CASE – Annual Conference of Startups and Entrepreneurship, the largest event of its kind in Latin America, held by ABStartups.
 
On November 9, there will be a major event at Palácio dos Bandeirantes, where 16 selected startups will present their solutions to a panel of renowned public management leaders, investors and entrepreneurs.
 
Examples of challenges that will be presented:
 
Education - How to improve reinforcement and recovery activities in schools, through the use of technology?
 
In relation to Technical Schools and Colleges (Etec/Fatec) – How best to track the development and progress of a graduate student during their first job?
 
Finance - How can the São Paulo Finance Department reduce tax evasion, in order to guarantee constant collection and the quality of public service provision, with better use of available information?
 
Housing - How to provide the beneficiaries of CDHU programs with information about urban services in the locality in which they operate and their contractual status?
 
Sanitation and energy – How to promote sustainable development, through self-generation of energy, water reuse and waste recycling?
 
Health - How to reduce the number of abstentions in appointments or scheduled procedures?
 
Transparency – How to automate the analysis of the necessary items and the checklist adopted by the CGA to verify the bidding procedures?
 
Transport - How to engage society in favor of safer traffic?
 
 
Innovative Research Program
 
Interested companies may also submit projects to FAPESP's Innovative Research in Small Businesses Program (PIPE). The deadline ends on December 4, 2017. Submission must be made through the Management Support System (SAGe), at the address www.fapesp.br/sage. The challenges will be focused on the Health area and proposals may be sent by small companies, up to 250 employees, that have their research area in São Paulo.
