ACATE initiative has applications open until the 24th of February

The open innovation program of the Associação Catarinense de Tecnologia (ACATE) is selecting new startups that want to connect with the market. The registration period ends on February 24 at linklab.acate.com.br. Link Lab is the first space created to bring startups and large companies closer together in Santa Catarina. The project, which has a nationwide scope, was inaugurated last year and had the participation of 30 start-up companies.

According to Silvio Kotujansky, program coordinator and market vice president at ACATE, Link Lab was created to help large companies innovate and at the same time provide opportunities for growth for startups in one of the most dynamic ecosystems in Brazil.

“The experience of the first group over the last four months was sensational. A community naturally formed between large companies and startups with a lot of exchange and learning, with surprising results. Large companies had an enriching experience of living with an innovative environment and innovative people. The startups were mentored by someone who deeply understands the pains of the market and its peculiarities and, most importantly, many businesses emerged. From investments, contracts to the opening of new companies in partnership between startup and large companies”, explains the coordinator.

To participate in the program, startups must operate or develop solutions in Virtual and Augmented Reality, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Corporate Governance and Sustainability, Fintech, Edutech, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, Health and Wellness, Fintech , Biotechnology, Supply Chain and Logistics, Blockchain, among others.

Those selected for the program will live for four months in a space with more than 600m² of integration with the sponsoring companies of the program, in Florianópolis. They will become part of the group of ACATE members, being able to have access to dozens of benefits offered by the entity. During the program, they will participate in market access initiatives via sponsoring companies, as well as ACATE's Business Verticals, in addition to workshops with selected partners in areas such as legal, accounting, digital marketing, communication, strategy, in addition to receiving credits and discounts access to business solutions, cloud computing infrastructure, among others.
