On May 22, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) launched the BNDES Direct 10 Program, which will support investments in highly complex and knowledge-intensive sectors, such as Information and Communications Technology (ICT), education , creative economy, energy efficiency, health equipment, auto parts, capital goods (BK) and defense. The objective is to stimulate the innovative effort of small and medium-sized companies in these and other sectors that will be able to access the resources.

BNDES Direct 10 was designed to support companies that improve productivity, generate the jobs of the future, create products with high added value, promote the expansion of broadband infrastructure and increase energy efficiency. The focus of the new product is small and medium-sized companies, with annual revenues between R$ 3 million and R$ 300 million, which will be able to have direct access to BNDES for financing between R$ 1 million to R$ 10 million.

Guarantees

Those interested in the BNDES Direct 10 Program will be able to count on flexibility in guarantees, including the use of the Investment Guarantee Fund (BNDES FGI), which allows greater access to credit for companies intensive in intangible assets, with difficulties in establishing real guarantees.

The development bank will innovate in the analysis of requests submitted to the program, seeking to carry out the contracting within 3 months of the client's entry. This will be possible thanks to a new credit process, which established pre-defined criteria for validation and review of authority, without giving up the quality of compliance. BNDES will also seek to reduce deadlines with investments in IT and continuous process improvements.
