According to Sukarie, the objective of the meeting was to position the deputies on the current figures and the importance of the IT sector for the Brazilian economy. According to the study, Brazil is positioned in 7th place in the world ranking, with an investment of US$ 60 billion in 2014. If only the Software and IT Services sector is considered, without exports, the amount totaled US$ 25.2 billion in the last year.

The impacts of the change in the payroll exemption, provided for by PL 57/15, which is currently in the Senate for a vote, was also the subject of the meeting. The entity defends a consensus alternative that does not burden companies so much, does not further affect the level of employment and meets the needs of fiscal adjustment.
