The Government Leaders Forum – Latin America and The Caribbean, hosted by Microsoft, will bring together government leaders and other influential thinkers to discuss experiences and exchange ideas about the opportunities that technology in the information makes possible in the region. The event takes place at the Copacabana Palace, in Rio de Janeiro, on April 9th and 10th.

The Forum will focus on the theme "Driving Impact Today, for a Brighter Future", with a special focus on areas of interest to policy makers and government elites across the region, including topics such as National Competitiveness, Development Social, Economic Growth and Education.
 
“It is a privilege for ABES to be in contact with leaders in Latin America and the Caribbean who must expose their regional improvement projects. This meeting will enable a rich discussion on economic growth and several other points that bring better conditions for the future of citizens”, says Jorge Sukarie, president of ABES. 
 
Forum participants will explore how information technologies can be aggressively and consistently leveraged to drive progress in different strategic areas, as well as discuss the public policy implications of today's evolving technology environment.
