On May 2, the City of São Paulo opened registration, through Portal Cate, for 1,000 vacancies in the new Bolsa Tech program, aimed at young people aged between 16 and 20. Professional training in the area of computer programming will be supported by R$ 627.21 for six months, totaling an investment of more than R$ 3 million from the City Hall to carry out the program.

To train workers in the city of São Paulo, Ade Sampa and Fundação Paulistana, linked to the Secretariat for Economic Development and Work, will have a schedule of workshops and courses in the month of May. In addition to professional qualification, the workshops aim to support workers' income generation, whether through entrepreneurship or the formal market.

In commemoration of the 18th anniversary of Fundação Paulistana, the entity will make available from May more than 6 thousand vacancies in courses in the areas of gastronomy, services, health, technology and sustainability.

“We will pay around R$ 630.00 per month for young people aged between 16 and 20 to qualify in the sectors that are most in demand in the areas of information technology, web, mobile, big data, robotics. Another sector that needs professionals is the area of Social Networks”, reports Aline Cardoso, Secretary of Economic Development and Work at PMSP.

The Bolsa Tech program will contribute to the expansion of opportunities for young people to enter the job market and the resumption of economic growth in the city. By 2024, the search for professionals with digital skills will reach 70 thousand per year in the country, but the number of graduates in the area will be 46 thousand, according to a study carried out by Brasscom.
