As part of the computerization process of its 90 health units, city hall brings innovation to the Blumenau community

After computerizing the entire municipal health network, comprising 90 units, the Municipality of Blumenau took another important step in automating its processes with the launch of Pronto Mobile, an application developed for smartphones that aims to facilitate citizens' access to healthcare services. health.

Based on the GeneXus Artificial Intelligence platform, provided by BXT (Business XtremeTechnologies), regional distributor of GeneXus Brazil, the application allows SUS (Unified Health System) users in the municipality to access various information, such as medical records, prescriptions, history of vaccines, mapping of health units and, in the future, the possibility of scheduling elective medical and dental appointments.

Application development took just 25 days. That's because the GeneXus platform simplified and automated the creation of the application based on Artificial Intelligence algorithms. “Instead of worrying about the technical solution, that is, how to program the application, the developers were able to focus on the solution to the problem, focusing on what needed to be programmed based on the business knowledge they already had”, explains the director from BXT, Reginaldo José Schollemberg.

The choice of GeneXus by the City Hall was due to the productivity it offers and the abstraction of the technology. “We think business. Keeping us technologically up-to-date is GeneXus' job and we don't worry about that. For us, Genexus represents standardization, efficiency and agility, especially in the generation of applications to offer new services to the citizens of Blumenau”, emphasizes the Director of Systems of the Municipality of Blumenau, Julio Cezar Siliva.

Since April 11th, the app is already available for download on smartphones with Android and iOS operating systems in the respective app stores. Users of the municipal health network need to have their registration updated in their basic reference units to join the platform. On the initial screen, Pronto Mobile will request the CPF, municipality and date of birth for login, in addition to an e-mail that will be registered during the first access.

The application can be downloaded by all SUS users in Blumenau. Initially, the appointment scheduling functionality will have restricted access only to the General Outpatient Clinic (AG users from Escola Agrícola will be enabled for this option).

“We seek to revolutionize and change the paradigm of how applications are created, changing the manual and craft techniques of more than 40 years to the model of automatic generation of systems based on the Business Knowledge Description (Genexus paradigm) and, for this reason , we were happy to see our concepts being delivered in the form of innovation to the community of Blumenau”, concludes the country manager of Genexus in Brazil, Ricardo Recchi.
