The Port Terminal, which has been on the market for 13 years, has already received seven thousand ships and handled around eight million containers

Portonave, a market leader in Santa Catarina and one of the largest port terminals in Brazil, has boosted the efficiency of its management processes and maintained certifications with a solution from SoftExpert - global supplier of software and services for automation and improvement of business processes, compliance regulatory and corporate governance.

With an infrastructure of 400 thousand m² of area, located in Navegantes - Santa Catarina, Portonave stands out in the handling of containers, contributing both to the flow of Brazilian production and other South American countries, as well as to the entry into the country. , of raw materials and goods produced abroad. In 2019, Portonave figured as the port terminal with the highest average productivity per ship among Brazilian ports, handling 752,266 TEUs (unit of measurement equivalent to a 20-foot container) and generating Gross Operating Revenue of 550.3 million.

According to Portonave's Integrated Management System Analyst, Carlos Leandro Assini, the Company needed a solution that would deliver more agility and reliability in retrieving information during the execution and monitoring of processes, as well as supporting compliance with legal requirements. and business regulations. "There are a number of municipal, state and federal agencies that regulate our activity, and we felt the need to have a reliable 100% management tool", he recalls.

Assini says that Portonave was looking for a company that would present a package of solutions that would meet the needs of the Company as much as possible. “We were experiencing a wear and tear caused by the failures of the previous management tools, so we went to the market to find a reference company that would provide reliability to corporate management and optimize processes, and we found SoftExpert”, he reinforces.

With the optimization of labor resources applied to management activities, new processes were incorporated, such as team responsibility, management of ideas (projects, improvements and changes) and development of BPMNs (process automation).

For the future, the company intends to implement the Audit and Risk components, already acquired in the initial package.
