Vacancies include the programs: Mind The Biz, Mind The MINAs and Incubation
Those who already undertake or want to start a business idea will be able, as of this Wednesday (22), to sign up for Superchamada for all entrepreneurship programs at Porto Digital. For the second time, the first was opened in the second half of 2019, Superchamada covers Mind The Bizz, a program to mature new business ideas in partnership with Sebrae-PE; Mind The MINAs, which supports the emergence of new innovative businesses run by women, through the program Women in Innovation, Business and the Arts (MINAs), the park's gender equity initiative; and incubation, which selects early stage companies with the potential to scale their solutions, products and services.
In a country where approximately 39% of the economically active population owns their own business, a result that shows a growing entrepreneurial potential, Superchamada aims to promote ideas and ventures in the following areas: agribusiness, arts, education, cities, commerce, design, entertainment, finance, public management, social impact, industry, advertising and health. Even so, the selection committee may, at its discretion, accept projects from other sectors. "For this first call of 2020, we want to receive approximately 32 new businesses. It is always important to have a variety of areas of ventures and diversity of entrepreneurs. We want to include these characteristics in all programs" explains the president of Porto Digital, Pierre Lucena.
Selection for any of the programs consists of two steps. In the first one, interested parties must apply by January 31st. After analyzing the proposals between the 3rd and 7th of February, entrepreneurs will be pre-selected who will move on to the second moment, with face-to-face interviews on the 13th and 14th of February. The final result will be announced on the Porto Digital website and social networks on February 17th, with the kick off, that is, the opening of the programs on February 20th.
Incubation Class 2019.1 Demoday
As a closing milestone for the 2019.1 class, on February 20, at 18:00, at Apolo 235, the Demoday will be held with the presence of the following projects that are finalizing the Incubation.
JUMP structure
All entrepreneurship programs operate their activities at the Jump Brasil Incubator, inaugurated by Porto Digital in 2015, located at Apolo 235. It has coworking spaces, laboratories, training and meeting rooms and auditoriums. The selected enterprises will still be able to access special projects under special conditions or even free of charge.
In addition to the environments aimed at entrepreneurs, the building also houses the Laboratory of Connected Urban Objects (LOUCo) – a space for the creation, development and rapid prototyping of solutions for those who want to produce with the aid of equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutter and sensor library.
