The first group will have five technology-based and creative economy companies, which will receive R$ 40 thousand to boost business

The Porto Digital Technological Park, recognized as one of the best innovation habitats in Brazil, released a public notice for the selection of five companies for its accelerator. Jump Brasil is a partnership between the Recife hub, Instituto Talento Brasil and Jereissati Participações.

The selected startups will undergo an acceleration process carried out in five months. During this period, the companies will receive a financial contribution of R$ 40 thousand for the structuring of the business model. Training sessions, mentoring, business consulting, connection with investors and seminars are also part of the program. "During the process, entrepreneurs will go through the stages of discovery, validation and customer acquisition, culminating in an 'investorsday', when the startups will be presented to investors", explains Pedro Souza, acceleration manager at Jump Brasil.

To participate, companies must submit the form available on the Jump Brasil website (www.jumpbrasil.com), as well as attach a two-minute video with presentation and justification for registration. Those selected at this stage will undergo a face-to-face interview at the accelerator's headquarters. Finalists will sign equity participation agreements. "This is a counterpart to the resources invested, infrastructure and services provided. The company will be from 6% to 12%, depending on the stage of development of the business", explains Souza.

"Porto Digital has a strategy for the development of entrepreneurship and innovation supported by incubators and accelerators. Jump Brasil's target audience is companies that already have maturity in their business model and perspectives to meet market demands", comments Francisco Saboya, president of the technology park.

In all, R$ 20 million will be invested over a period of five years for structuring startups, promoting events, renovating and maintaining Jump's physical structure. The funds come from the Jereissati Participações Group.

developing the city
In addition to accelerating the growth of startups, Jump Brasil proposes to contribute to the development of urban solutions aimed at social well-being. In the current call, one of the vacancies will be offered to the company that has a project within the following themes: urban mobility, energy, pollution, sustainability and safety.

Coworking and interaction environment
Jump's headquarters not only offers physical support for accelerated companies, but is also a coworking environment, consisting of 24 workstations, living spaces, food service and an exhibition area for 70 people. The intention is to enable interaction between entrepreneurs, allow them to receive customers, participate and hold events and exhibitions, create connections and be inspired to develop collaborative activities.
