Interested parties must submit proposals until the 5th of May

Applications for the Porto Digital Incubation Program call are now open. The program will select startups, creative ventures, nascent companies and early-stage impact businesses that aim to develop technology-based, innovative and scalable products or services in several areas. The call can be checked online and entrepreneurs need to fill out a form. Access the call here.

The selection for participation in the program consists of two stages. In the first one, interested parties must send, until the 5th of May, their innovative business proposals, as established in the incubation call. After analyzing the proposals, entrepreneurs will be pre-selected who will move on to the second moment, with face-to-face interviews between the 22nd and 24th of May. The final result will be announced on May 27, with activities starting on June 6.

New to the incubation program this year is a continuous selection process, with new entries every four months; six modules lasting one to two months each; monitoring of mentors and partners even closer to the incubated ones; subsidized amount for teams represented by women or entrepreneurs with a family income of up to two minimum wages.

Agribusiness, arts, education, cities, commerce, design, entertainment, finance, public management, social impact, industry, advertising and health are the areas of activity supported by the Porto Digital Incubation Program. Even so, the selection committee may, at its discretion, accept projects from other sectors.

The incubation is carried out by Jump Brasil, the innovative entrepreneurship arm of Porto Digital.

Jump structure

Jump Brasil, inaugurated by Porto Digital in 2015, has an infrastructure at Apolo 235 with coworking spaces, laboratories, training and meeting rooms, auditoriums and showrooms. The selected enterprises will still be able to access special projects under special conditions or even free of charge.

In addition to the environments aimed at entrepreneurs, the building also houses the Laboratory of Connected Urban Objects (LOUCo) - a space for creating, developing and rapid prototyping of solutions for those who want to produce with the help of equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutter and library of sensors.
