Dialogue channel aims to know the point of view of platform users

With the objective of promoting improvements in the virtual platform, the Innovation Portal – an electronic tool that seeks to integrate the main actors of the national innovation system – (www.portalinovacao.mct.gov.br) published a survey to assess the perception of users of the Portal, as well as to receive suggestions for improvement. The survey runs until June 15 and, through a brief questionnaire, already available on the main page of the Portal, users of the platform will evaluate items such as usability, navigation, content and language of the tool.

The initiative is carried out in partnership by the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE) and the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI). “The objective is to meet the desires of a demanding public, which values information security, data credibility and uses the Portal as a support instrument in decision-making and in support of the operational logistics of innovation”, says the technical advisor. from CGEE, Flavia Jesini.

According to Jesini, creating this means of interaction is essential for the improvement of services. “Based on the result of this consultation, it will be possible for us to carry out a more effective work in favor of changes or improvements in the services provided by the portal, in the light of the needs and interests of the public that uses the platform”, he highlights.

For the person responsible for the Portal at ABDI, Marina Oliveira, the tool is consolidated in the Brazilian innovation environment. “This initiative is a pioneer and will soon complete ten years of existence. The Portal was born together with the regulatory framework for Innovation in Brazil and due to the evolution of these systems in the country, in the last decade, it needs to be updated. The information collected in the consultation will be a fundamental subsidy for the adjustments to be made to better serve the user, who is our main customer”, he emphasizes.

Jesini and Oliveira observe that the business demand for information on innovation has grown continuously, as has the number of registrations in the Portal. For this reason, the number of tutorial materials on the subject has multiplied on the internet. An example is the introductory course to Innovation Management, produced by the Innovation Management Support Center (Nagi), from the Innovation Management Laboratory at Poli-USP, as part of the public notice for the Pro-Inova project, by the Ministry of Science. , Technology and inovation.

The material can be accessed free of charge and comprises five video lessons on the topic. The Innovation Portal, being the oldest and most consolidated tool in this field, is the subject of one of the videos. It is possible to learn more about its main features, as well as the governance model of the tool. The course will be launched on the 15th of May.

Created 10 years ago, the Portal of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) is under the operational management of ABDI and relies on the CGEE database. Currently, the system has 30 thousand registrations of companies, innovation agents and research institutes, in addition to being integrated into the Lattes Platform of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). The tool also provides information on patents granted by the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) until 2008. Since July 2014, there is also a specific clipping of the Brazilian Service of Support to Mico and Small Enterprises (Sebrae) on the Portal.

The tool is a virtual space where companies, research institutions and government agencies interact to promote innovation, mapping competencies, identifying networks of relationships and promoting the meeting between technological offers and demands. Since its inception, the Portal has enabled more than 75,000 different types of interaction between these actors.
