Sky.One, specialized in the development of platforms that facilitate the use and migration of cloud solutions, presents an unprecedented case of migration from client server to cloud. Sky.One implemented a virtual ERP environment in the public cloud of Amazon Web Services (AWS), the largest cloud provider in the world, for Pluma – a delivery, logistics and transport company from Curitiba, from Paraná.

The transition took place in record time and brought stability and security to its tourism, delivery and parcel segments.

After 5 years of using a system of local physical servers, Pluma had to go through an update process or ran the risk of losing vital information to its operation. The numerous applications and new features of its servers overloaded the processing environment and already threatened to compromise its daily deliveries.

Pluma's IT team, anticipating a possible system collapse, started a preventive backup process. During this routine, the server disk failed, putting all stored content at risk.

The IT team was recommended to turn to Sky.One by technicians from Amazon Web Services. The automated migration process took place through its Auto.Sky platform – the only one on the market capable of migrating ERPs that were not originally developed to adapt to the cloud to the cloud.
With the contract produced in a few hours, the migration process started at the end of the day on a Friday. In 36 hours, the new system was already running in the cloud, taking the company's backbone out of the risk zone.

Pluma benefited from the fast and totally remote transition, mainly due to the fact that it did not stop its operation to carry out the migration. Its national transport and tourism services include more than 70 vehicles, 28 call centers in Brazil and abroad and more than 200 connected users.

Tracking of deliveries, loads, control of departures and arrivals of tourist vehicles, issuance of notes, fees, insurance, charges to the employees' payroll were also taken to the cloud.

“It was an unusual work weekend, which could not have happened more smoothly”, says executive Marcel Arantes, Pluma's IT Manager. “The new operating structure is very solid and reliable. An IT deployment schedule typically consists of months of work. In this case, he contemplated only a few hours. We are very satisfied”, he says.

According to executive Caio Klein, a partner at Sky.One, the company accepted this challenge knowing that a disk failure situation can put any customer at great risk. “The team's agility and accurate diagnosis of Pluma's need were essential for us to act effectively. The fact that the system was already running on the following Monday was a source of satisfaction for us”, celebrates Klein.

Founded by entrepreneurs eager for technology in 2014, Sky.One is the developer of the Auto.Sky platform, the only solution on the market to migrate management systems (ERP) not developed to adapt to the cloud environment to the cloud. In partnership with 100 software houses, the company has 400 clients in its portfolio and is prepared to serve the most diverse market segments, such as transport, retail and services. Sky.One is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner, the world's largest cloud provider. The startup, which plans to triple its revenue in 2017, already has a branch in the United States and plans to invest in internationalization.
