Contrary to what many imagine, women represent 41% of gamers and have an average of 32 years. This is what revealed the Game Mobile Brasil survey, carried out by ESPM's Nucleus of Studies and Business in Digital Marketing, by Sioux and by Blend New Research. In turn, men, with 59%, are a little older, 35 years old. Of the 823 respondents, 34% were in the State of São Paulo, followed by Rio de Janeiro, with 11% and, tied, 9% Minas Gerais and Pará.

The Brazilian player usually uses, on average, three different pieces of equipment to play. The most used are still the PC, with 85%, followed by the cell phone, with 73%; in third the console, with 66% and, finally, the tablet, with 31%. It is noteworthy that 52% use cell phones in waiting rooms and 43% play on the way home. The console is predominantly used at home with 95%, but the PC is also used at work with 25%.

"This research allows us to understand the habits of the Brazilian gamer, information that we researched and did not find available in Brazil", explains Pedro Waengertner, coordinator of the Nucleus of Studies and Business in Digital Marketing at ESPM.

Both men and women prefer action and adventure games, with 22% preferred. But shooting games still speak louder in the male genre, in second place with 20%. Women pick strategy games as their favorite with 22%. For both sexes, sports games follow 11%, car racing 9%, card games 7%, wrestling 4% and educational games only 2%.

The vast majority prefer the free apps, 81% and 56% download games weekly. Of the respondents, 53% have already paid for a game at some point and 86% say it was worth it. The vast majority downloaded games up to R$ 5.00. As for operating systems, Android still dominates the market, with 70% for cell phones and 71% for tablets. In tablets, due to the iPad, the IO is in second place, with 18%, but in cell phones in third, with 6%, behind Microsoft, with 9%.
