Partners HealthCare and EMC team up for healthcare solutions

Partnership aims to support research initiatives and facilitate collaboration

 
Partners HealthCare in the US and EMC Corporation announced a partnership to improve healthcare services and patients' lives through the development of an agile data and analytics platform, Partners Data Lake. Partners Data Lake's goal is to accelerate clinically relevant research developed across the Partners HealthCare system for use in the clinical setting.
 
Insights from the Partners Data Lake will also be used to support medicine, helping to make research more efficient, improving the diagnosis and treatment of disease, and ultimately making healthcare more effective.
 
Utilizing the advanced medical diagnostic capabilities across the Partners HealthCare system, the massive amounts of data generated in separate research activities will now be pooled in the Partners Data Lake, allowing the medical community to explore and develop new insights into human disease, towards improve diagnosis, treatment and patients' lives. The new platform will support clinical and research activities across the Partners system, which includes Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, McLean Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network and their community hospitals.
