Participating organizations receive free real-time diagnostics at the end of responses

ABES invites its associates to participate in academic-scientific research developed at Fundação Getúlio Vargas – School of Business Administration of São Paulo (FGV – EAESP), which aims to measure and explain the Stage of Maturity Level of Information Technology initiatives and Communication (ICT) in your company, based on theory developed and extended from the field of Information Systems Management (ADI).

Unprecedented and restricted to guests, the survey can be accessed through the link: http://busc.us/BRpesq. Upon completion of their answers, the entrepreneur will receive a free diagnosis in real time (6 pages), representing a 'photo' the current stage level of the participating organization's ICT/ADI initiatives.

The study is led by José Eduardo R. Favaretto (favaretto.net), academic researcher at FGV – EAESP in the Department of Technology and Data Science (TDS) and Professor of Higher Education in a Disruptive Digital Environment. He worked professionally in the Brazilian technology market for more than 30 years as an entrepreneur. The research is part of Favaretto's doctoral project and its preparation has the support of professors from the educational institution, who participated in the creation and development of the empirical measurement scale for the maturity of ICT initiatives.

Analytics Diffusion

“Currently, emerging technologies, such as: Analytics and data orientation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), among others, in the phase of adoption and diffusion in Organizations, point to new challenges to the existing models of measurement of the maturity level, both in terms of its implementation and in its permanent management in organizational structures”, explains Favaretto. This diagnosis is a contribution to the work of CIOs, Directors, Managers or IT Leaders.

The researcher clarifies that no confidential questions will be asked, such as, for example, data on the financial aspects of ICT expenditures, future investments, as it is not the focus of the research to assess this dimension.

For this study, Data Analytics means the use of techniques and data analysis, which go beyond common sense. “The expression that academic literature often mentions as ''data driven company' or 'data driven enterprise' should already be on the agenda of organizations' ICT initiatives. Therefore, the research seeks to identify whether the effective adoption of Data Analytics in companies and its dissemination is taking place”, concludes Favaretto.
