A partnership between the Itaipu Technological Park (PTI) and the British Chevening Scholarship Program guarantees the opportunity for Brazilian professionals, with degrees in topics related to renewable energy, innovation, energy markets and sustainable mobility, to apply for a scholarship. studies in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).
Two scholarships will be offered per year, for the next three years, starting from 2016-2017. The benefit is another result of the memorandum of understanding between Itaipu Binacional and the British Embassy in Brazil, signed on November 30, 2015, for cooperation in the exchange of good sustainability practices and the development of climate-friendly technologies.
“This partnership is interesting for several aspects. Firstly, because the students will stay in the United Kingdom for a year and, upon returning, they will use their knowledge to promote transformations in our country. Furthermore, the possibility for young students to have an international experience at high-standard universities is fantastic, even more so in themes which are of interest to Brazil”, says the superintendent director of the PTI Foundation, Juan Carlos Sotuyo.
Applications for the scholarship can be made on the Chevening website from November 8th. The candidate must be fluent in English and have at least two years of professional experience in the areas mentioned.
