Agreement signed with CPqD provides for the use and collaboration for the evolution of this IoT platform

The dojot open platform, developed by CPqD with the aim of facilitating the creation of Internet of Things (IoT) applications suited to the Brazilian reality, is the focus of the technological cooperation agreement recently signed by the organization with the Itaipu Technological Park Foundation (PTI) . The partnership provides not only for the use of dojot in IoT applications developed by PTI, but mainly for the contribution of this institution to the evolution of the platform's features and functionality.

“One of the objectives of the agreement is the migration to dojot of the various IoT applications that we have already developed for different clients, in areas such as agribusiness and smart cities, for example”, explains Miguel Matrakas, manager of the Latin American Center for Free Technologies (CELTAB). ) of the PTI Foundation. “In addition, our team will work together with the CPqD team in the evolution of this open source platform, especially in the adaptation of some functionalities”, adds Matrakas.

Launched just over a year ago, dojot is open source, which facilitates collaboration between the various actors in the IoT ecosystem and contributes to open innovation. “This is one of the main advantages offered by open source solutions”, says Marcelo Ribeiro Nascimento, development manager responsible for dojot at CPqD. “By using the platform, application developers and other players in the IoT ecosystem have the opportunity to contribute to their own evolution”, he concludes.
