Whitepaper shows first results of the project

In a production line, the machines cannot stop, at the risk of causing great losses to companies. So, how is it possible to develop new products and processes? One of the solutions is the creation of virtual laboratories, in which it is possible to carry out tests based on data obtained with real machines.

To stimulate innovation and help companies adopt concepts from industry 4.0, the São José dos Campos Technological Park developed a Virtual Testbed Platform in Internet of Things, which aims to monitor machines to enable the development of new products and technologies.

All details about the project are in a Whitepaper and can be accessed at this link: bit.ly/whitepaperIoT

The project involves the implantation of sensors in industrial machining machines, 3D printers and industrial robots, generating a database that can be accessed by startups, information and communication technology companies, industries in various sectors, universities and educational institutions. The data serves for tests for product validation, tests of scientific theories and new ideas, tests with data and development of proofs of concept.

Any institution interested in the project can define a personalized scope with the Technological Park team. In this way, it will be possible to access the online database through a restricted area and view the information of the instrumented machines.

For the development of the Virtual Laboratory, the Park involved more than 20 companies in the aeronautical, defense and information technology sectors, including suppliers and users of technologies. The initiative also included the participation of startups in the areas of sensors, computer vision, artificial intelligence, big data, among others.

The development of the Virtual Testbed Platform in Internet of Things had the financial sponsorship of ABDI (Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development), through the announcement of the factories of the future, and a counterpart from the São José dos Campos Technological Park
