It was launched on December 10th by the State Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti), at the Technological Park of Bahia, the notice 001/2015, which provides for the selection and strengthening of four micro and small companies that wish to install themselves in the place. The selected startups will develop innovative projects through the Áity incubator.

Until February 12, technology-based companies based in Bahia will be able to access the public notice through Secti's official website. This is the fourth public notice launched since the beginning of the Technological Park's activities. The idea is that next year there will be more calls for new incubated companies, as informed by the coordinator of the Park, Péricles Magalhães.

Responsible for the presentation of the public notice, the innovation superintendent of Secti, Thomas Buck, said that the call for new companies is just a piece in the face of the efforts that the State is making. “These are small initiatives that, when added together, foster the ecosystem,” he said. Among the novelties of this public notice is the one-year incubation period, extendable for another two years.

Buck even presented the desirable criteria for the selected company and spoke about the partial commission for the trial. “The judging commission will come from another state to have a fairer judgment, in addition, the dimensions of entrepreneurship, technology, capital, market and degree of maturity of each competitor will be evaluated. We are looking for companies that serve not only the area of information technology, but also the creative economy and the health area”.

On the occasion, Secretary Manoel Mendonça presented some news that are in transit to the place, such as Espaços Makers, Hub Office, Library 2.0, Living Labs, among others. The environment of the Research and Development Center (Ceped), located in Camaçari, was also presented with the presence of Áity Industrial. “We are investing not only to attract companies that can invest in our state, but to give visibility to our companies, which undoubtedly have a lot of potential”, he pondered.
