· Studies indicate accelerated growth in demand for professionals with practical skills in business systems such as SAP
· ICT sector could generate up to 147 thousand formal jobs in Brazil in 2025
The IT (Information Technology) market continues to expand strongly in Brazil. According to Brasscom study (Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies), the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) sector could generate up to 147 thousand formal jobs in the country in 2025. The trend follows the advance of digital transformation in companies, which drives not only the creation of jobs, but also the search for professionals with practical training and mastery of tools adopted by large corporations.
Among these tools, the SAP system stands out. Used by approximately 92% of the companies listed in the Forbes Global 2000 and by 98% of the 100 most valuable brands in the world, SAP has become a strategic differentiator in the training of talent. The demand for specialists is growing, as shown in the Talent Shortage Survey 2025 from ManpowerGroup, which indicates that 81% of Brazilian companies have difficulty finding qualified professionals — a rate higher than the global average of 74%.
Aware of this scenario, Faculdade Engenheiro Salvador Arena, a free 100% institution maintained by Fundação Salvador Arena, became the first college in the ABC region to join the SAP University Alliances Program. One of the initiatives of this partnership aims to train students so that they have practical knowledge in high-demand business solutions, in this case in the SAP system, expanding their opportunities for employability and excellent professional training.
“The technology market is booming, but excellent, high-level professional qualifications, as the market demands, are still the main bottleneck for companies in the area. Training students to master tools that are widely used by companies is more than a differentiator — it is an institutional responsibility in view of the future that already exists,” says Luciana Guimarães Borges, academic director of Faculdade Engenheiro Salvador Arena.
The partnership is part of SAP University Alliances, a global program focused on training talent for the digital economy. The proposal is to combine theory and practice through an exclusive course, with applied content aligned with the real needs of the job market.
“Our goal is to expand students’ skills so that they stand out in selection processes and are ready to take on relevant positions in technology companies. With SAP, we connect the classroom to the real demands of the market,” reinforces the director.
The course will take place in July 2025 and will be offered in six thematic modules, allowing students to choose the area that best connects to their profile and employability trends. The modules are:
- SAP Business Technology Platform – BTP
- Financial Management (FI/CO)
- Sales and Distribution (SD)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Planning and Production (PP)
- Project Management
The course will be free for 120 students from the following courses: Administration; Computer, Control and Automation and Food Engineering; technical course in IT.
With this initiative, Faculdade Engenheiro Salvador Arena reinforces its position as an innovative higher education institution, attentive to technological trends and focused on training talents that will make a difference in national and international markets.
