Platform that combines several variables, such as Serasa Score with additional information from market intelligence and advanced analytics techniques, helps entrepreneurs to make decisions in a simple and quick way to sell in installments with more security and less risk of default

With the increased demand for credit by companies and consumers, in a scenario of record defaults, inflation and high interest rates and economic recession, stimulating sales in a healthy way, reducing the risk of defaults, has become even more challenging for businesses. Therefore, in order to help small and medium-sized companies sell in installments with more security and less risk of default in a simple and quick way, Serasa Experian created a specific technology for this public.

Serasa Recommends, Serasa Experian's unprecedented, easy-to-access platform that combines market data analysis, Serasa Score, internally created intelligence information and the most advanced analytics techniques on the market. In just three clicks, the SME receives a recommendation from Serasa Experian on whether or not to grant credit, which can increase sales, reduce the risk of default and reduce the cost of the operation. With more accurate analyses, the Serasa Recommendation approval rate reached 72.5%, which represents an increase of 35% compared to conventional methods.

“The increase in unsecured credit and the double-digit inflation registered in the country intensify the upward trend in default numbers. Just one indicator is not enough to understand the paying profile of a company or a consumer. It is necessary to consider a set of factors such as overdue and renegotiated debts, status with banks and companies, whether there are bounced checks, national protests and other registration information. Therefore, we launched a platform that responds to a situation of great macroeconomic instability for SMEs, curbing what could become a cycle of defaults between creditor and debtor”, explains the Vice President of Small and Medium Enterprises, Cleber Genero.

Each report is unique and exclusive for each negotiation and works as a kind of traffic light, powered by a credit policy. Green would be a positive recommendation to follow the term, yellow, a recommendation from a manual analysis, sometimes due to lack of information, and red, the recommendation to follow the spot. Another data observed on the platform was that SMEs that received a positive recommendation for installment sales did not suffer from default. In the conventional modalities of credit analysis, only 53.7% of the companies would be approved.

“Credit is a fundamental tool for economic recovery, in addition to empowering consumers and businesses. Therefore, to keep the market healthy, that is, the relationship between creditor and debtor, it is necessary to use data intelligence from beginning to end: from the concession to the recovery of default. It is exactly this expertise that Serasa Experian proposes”, says Cleber.
