Oracle recently announced the Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, a comprehensive platform for building, extending, deploying, and managing AI agents and agent teams across the enterprise. Part of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite, the new AI Agent Studio provides easy-to-use tools for customers and partners to create custom AI agents that address complex business needs and can help drive new levels of productivity.
“AI agents are the next phase of evolution in enterprise applications, and just like with existing applications, business leaders need the flexibility to create purpose-built functionality to meet their unique and evolving business needs,” said Steve Miranda, executive vice president, Applications, Oracle. “Our AI Agent Studio builds on the 50+ AI agents we’ve already introduced and gives our customers and partners the flexibility to easily create and manage their own AI agents. With the agents already built into Fusion Applications and our new AI Agent Studio, customers will be able to further extend automation and ultimately achieve more while spending less.”
Available at no additional cost, Oracle AI Agent Studio provides easy-to-use tools, including advanced testing, robust validation, and built-in security, that will help Oracle Fusion Applications customers and partners build and manage AI agents. Leveraging the same technology that Oracle uses to build AI agents, Oracle AI Agent Studio enables users to easily extend pre-built agents and/or create agents, then deploy and manage them across the enterprise. AI agents designed in Oracle AI Agent Studio integrate seamlessly with Oracle Fusion Applications and can collaborate with third-party agents to complete complex, multi-step processes.
Oracle AI Agent Studio offers a range of features that make it easy to create and manage custom AI agents. The platform includes agent model libraries, allowing users to develop their own agents from predefined templates combined with natural language prompts, enabling applications in diverse business scenarios, such as opportunity quoting, return order processing and shift scheduling.
In addition, it has a system of orchestration of agent teams, enabling the configuration of multiple agents that can collaborate with humans on complex tasks. For greater control, users can insert checkpoints and approvals throughout processes. agent extensibility It is also a differentiator, allowing the modification and expansion of more than 50 predefined Oracle Fusion Applications AI agents, with the addition of documents, tools, prompts or APIs, ensuring precise adaptation to the needs of each sector and company.
Users also have freedom in choosing large language models (LLMs), being able to choose models optimized for Oracle Fusion Applications, such as Llama and Cohere, or integrate specific external LLMs for specialized use cases. native integration with Fusion simplifies the creation of enterprise-ready agents by providing direct access to APIs, knowledge stores, and predefined tools without the need for complex customizations.
Another highlight is the possibility of integration with third party systems, enabling Oracle Fusion Applications AI agents to connect to external agents via secure APIs, facilitating both immediate actions and long-running processes. Security is also a pillar of the platform, which operates within a trusted and up-to-date framework, ensuring that agents follow the latest security policies, configurations, and access controls without the need to reset parameters or enter into new agreements.
Finally, AI Agent Studio provides advanced validation and testing tools, enabling users to monitor and ensure the accuracy of agents in AI-driven workflows. These capabilities ensure reliability, explainability, repeatability, and improved performance of results, ensuring a high level of safety and efficiency in automated operations.
Oracle Fusion Applications Suite enables organizations to leverage the cloud and the latest advancements in AI to reduce organizational silos, standardize processes, and manage financial, HR, supply chain, and customer experience data on a single, integrated cloud platform.
