Open Innovation Week brings together 150 startups and 100 large companies

ABES supports the event that takes place on February 21st and 22nd

with the central theme “New business models for innovation”, the 9th edition of the Open Innovation Week (OiWeek) takes place between the 21st and 22nd of February, in São Paulo, and will show the ecosystem the importance of inserting science and technology-based companies, together with digital ones, for open collaboration with companies from different sectors of the industry. ABES members will have a 50% discount on registration. 

 
ABES, which is part of the “100 Open Startups” movement, is one of the supporters of the event, which this year selected more than 150 startups and 100 large companies, including: IBM, 3M, Accenture, HP, Microsoft, Cemig, Atlas Schindler , Johnson & Johnson, Grupo Algar, AES Brasil, Votorantim, Whirpool, BRF, Roche, Senai, Catho, Natura and Grupo Oncoclínicas. With this, Oiweek consolidates itself as the main world stage for connecting and generating open innovation business between small and large companies.
 
“In 2016, the 8th Oiweek provided more than 1,000 meetings between top startups and large companies. From there, more than 100 contracts and partnerships were signed. Therefore, our main objective is to show that it is possible to connect models and companies of different business sizes to generate businesses that directly impact different areas of society, such as health, well-being, education, energy, finance, construction and innovative cities”, explains Bruno Rondani, Co-founder of Open Innovation Week.
 
The 150 startups selected for the event will undergo new meetings, evaluations and pitches with investors and executives. Those with the best performance at Open Innovation Week will make up the 2017 Movement 100 Open Startups ranking.
