Professionals have taken advantage of the quarantine season to invest time and dedication in their careers

Created in 2019 by Omie, a cloud management platform for SMEs, the Omie.Academy is the educational arm of the company that offers content focused on accountants and entrepreneurs. As of March 15, the company offered free courses on the platform as a way of encouraging professional retraining in the midst of the crisis caused by the new coronavirus.

In addition to the courses "How to take care of the health of your company" and "How to scale your accounting with artificial intelligence" created especially with quarantine hook, Omie makes available the other contents of the school free of charge. In this first month of the benefit, the most attended courses were public speaking, personal finance, leadership and people management, NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) and customer loyalty, respectively.

Even before the pandemic, the model's success was great: in just over a year, between the beginning of 2019 and the same period in 2020, it grew more than 10 times and reached the mark of 1500 students, contributing to the narrowing of the gap efficiency of Brazilian SMEs through entrepreneurial education. Between March 15 and April 15, the platform's first free month, the total number of users reached 8816.

"Omie.Academy was born to offer knowledge that generates results. All courses have high-level support material, in addition to teachers with extensive expertise and technical background. When we were all quarantined, we knew we could contribute in a very tangible way with the entrepreneurial community and we had no doubts that this contribution included giving free access to our course schedule ", comments Gilberto Cunha, Head of Omie.Academy.

The platform is still available, free of charge, at link .
