Converted, Swiss Francs are equivalent to more than R$ 480 thousand. In this way, the choice of the donation location was at the discretion of the employee, who was able to make their contribution as they preferred.

Altogether, at a global level, SoftwareOne supported 1,228 causes, through a donation of 85.4 thousand CHF (Swiss Francs). In Brazil alone, 69 causes benefited, with 4,068 CHF, which is equivalent to more than R$22 thousand. Among the areas of activity of the beneficiary institutions around the world, the following stand out: youth development; voluntary health organizations and medical disciplines; human services, housing and shelter; environmental Quality; education; arts and culture, as well as animal causes.

There are also other actions being developed by SoftwareOne in Brazil, such as the work of the Collaborative Committee called “Impacting Society”, whose objective is to foster a spirit of solidarity among employees, encouraging experience with volunteering.

According to SoftwareOne's Brazil Human Resources Director, Eduardo Prazeres, more than bringing together a group of people, the committee is structured strategically in the country. “We count on budget, goals and annual agenda of actions to be fulfilled. To this end, the committee includes five participants elected annually, plus a director as sponsor”, he explains.

In line with this idea, Prazeres highlights that, annually, R$12 thousand are made available by the company, to be invested in actions to raise greater impacts on society in Brazil. "The R$12 thousand are multiplied several times, such as in support of NGOs. Only in 2023, some of the campaigns developed by the committee included blood and warm clothing donations, MC Dia Feliz, in which snacks were distributed in São Paulo for the Associação Amigos da Citizenship and in Belo Horizonte for Lar Recanto Feliz, and Elderly Day, in which employees spent a day with the residents of Casa Ondina Lobo in São Paulo”, he states.

Prazeres recalls that the company also raised R$ 15 thousand from its employees in 2023 for the Charity Prize Cup of Life from Associação Amigos da Cidadania, and a further R$ 2,350 for Children's Day from this same NGO, which aims to offer children between 4 and 6 years old a series of social projects.

Other initiatives, such as presentations on gender equity, diversity and inclusion and mental health, were also carried out in the company itself throughout 2023, through the committee, concerned with providing an increasingly healthier environment for employees. “For 2024, work on planning, structuring and electing new projects and participating members of the Impacting Society Committee is already underway.”, he comments.

Actions related to professional qualification

Prazeres states that working on the S of ESG It encompasses offering new opportunities and promoting people’s professional qualifications. SOAR (SoftwareOne Academy Returnship), for example, is a project developed by the company that seeks to offer professional reconstruction opportunities for individuals who have experienced a hiatus in their careers, whether for health, maternity or other personal reasons. “The program was structured so that, from three to six months into the action contract, participants dedicate approximately 75% of their time to practical projects and 25% to training activities at our Academy”, says Prazeres.

already the program SoftwareOne Academy seeks to integrate beginning talents in the IT area, as well as professionals who are looking for a career change and wish to enter the sector.

Thus, the selected people spend six to twelve weeks carrying out training, both in individual and group studies, covering a onboarding complete, which includes technical training, skills development, improvement of the English language and immersion in the company's purpose and culture. “In the almost three years of development of the program, 425 professionals joined SoftwareOne, coming from 20 countries”, reports the executive.

Both SoftwareOne Academy Returnship and SoftwareOne Academy are global projects and are present throughout Latin America, in countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Costa Rica.

“In view of these efforts to develop people and impact society, we have achieved an engaged team, a high-performance culture and, consequently, more results”, comments Prazeres. Proof of this is that SoftwareOne obtained a satisfaction index of 90% in Employee Experience, one of its main pillars of attention, together with High Performance Culture and Customer Experience.

According to Prazeres, making all this gear work assertively is precisely what differentiates the company in the market. “There is no point in having a high Employee Experience index if there is no high performance culture, as it directly impacts the Customer Experience. In other words, it is the culture that maintains the effectiveness of the other two pillars and we want to work on it more and more together with the S of ESG”, he says.
