Company responsible for Baixaki and TecMundo invests in cloud
for users to have a better experience on their portals

NZN announced a partnership with IBM to implement a public cloud project in order to better support the browsing of websites hosted on its network. In the market for 16 years, NZN is formed by 12 independent websites and is best known for operating TecMundo and Baixaki, which bring together in a single website access to downloads of various software for Windows. All sites together have over 36 million unique users per month.

The project with IBM, using SoftLayer, allowed a dedicated infrastructure management that was much closer to the customer, in addition to great savings in cloud computing infrastructure expenses. “With SoftLayer, NZN saved 53% more than the previously used service,” said Gustavo Bonato Abrão, Vice President of Content at NZN.

Billing and the level of service provided were also great differentials for the customer's choice of IBM solutions. “The fact of being able to pay in Brazilian currency is an advantage not only in terms of cost, but also in terms of operation. With the savings generated, NZN will be able to invest resources in other demands, especially in innovation”, highlighted Tiago Bueno, Cloud Services executive at IBM Brazil.

The contract provides for a closer and more personalized service, with a dedicated account manager and frequent interaction with IBM Brazil, not only with commercial service, but with a technical team available to meet the client's demands.
