On March 26, 2018, ABES gathered associates and guests at the Cataloup Restaurant, in São Paulo, to swear in the new members of the entity's Deliberative Council, announce its Ethics and Compliance Program, present a preview of the Market Study numbers Outlook and Trends 2018-17 (look here) and honor the new ambassadors and honorary ambassadors of the Movimento Brasil, País Digital
 
This initiative is a way of valuing and recognizing professionals, researchers and authorities who stand out for their work and history of supporting the information technology sector and the digital transformation of Brazilian society.


 
The plates were delivered by representatives of ABES to Edgar Serrano; president of FENAINFO; Benito Paret, president of TI Rio and president of RIOSOFT; Thiago Camargo, secretary of SEPOD – Secretariat of Digital Policies, of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Communications; Claudio Gastal, president of the Competitive Brazil Movement; Jorge Sukarie – former executive president of ABES; José Miranda Dias, former executive president of ABES; Jeovani Salomão, president of ASSESPRO; Marcio Girão, director of FINEP.

 
Among the honorees were also: Ana Paula Lobo, journalist and director of the website Convergência Digital; Ruben Delgado, forecaster at Softex; Adelson de Sousa, partner at IT Mídia; Carlos Sacco, entrepreneur and one of the founding partners of ABES; Sergio Paulo Gallindo, president of BRASSCOM; Vanda Scartezini – former Secretary of SEPIN, member of the Board of ICAAN and ABES; Daniel Leipnitz, president of ACATE – Santa Catarina Technology Association; and Irecê Fraga Kauss Loureiro, head of the Information Technology Department at BNDES.
