Vice-President Iomani Engelmann, who arrived at the Association as an incubator, at the age of 22, defended a closer relationship with startups - already started in this management - and a more forceful posture with the public power, reinforcing the importance and strength of companies of technology in the local economy.
With the presence of several former presidents, and the current president Guilherme Bernard, the assembly also presented the activities Report of 2015 and the audit with the accounts for the year 2015, which were approved by the Supervisory Board on the 19th of April and by the associates on the 5th, in an ordinary meeting before the elections.

The changes in management took place in the year in which ACATE completed three decades of operation. Founded on April 1, 1986, the entity helped to consolidate the technological sector in the State and today has 850 member companies. Currently, 2,500 companies are part of the IT area in Santa Catarina, with a turnover of more than R$ 4 billion and employing 50,000 people.
