The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Association for the Promotion of Excellence in Brazilian Software – Softex, held on the 20th, in Brasília, which brought together representatives of government agencies and private entities, in addition to associates and Regional Agents, elected Ney Gilberto Leal as the new vice-president. executive president of the entity, to succeed Marcos Mandacaru until October 2015.
 
A businessman, Ney Leal has a postgraduate degree in Organizations and Methods (O&M) and an MBA in Electronic Government from the University of Business and Administration of Minas Gerais, in addition to a complementary course in Strategic Management for Business Leaders at the Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires ( INSEAD), in France.
 
In his more than 20-year career, Leal was a founding partner of the Innovation and Business Agency (AIN), worked at Politec, at the Logistics and Information Technology Secretariat of the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management (SLTI/MPOG) and at Information Technology Company of the State of Minas Gerais (Prodemge), developing a series of initiatives in the areas of institutional relationships, business, project management, technology, innovation and marketing with private companies and public bodies.
 
 He participated in the preparation of the Green Book of the Information Society, was director of the Brazilian Electronic Government Program and acted as a representative of the Brazilian Government in several events of technological development, network services and digital inclusion.
 
 “The year 2013 was a watershed in the trajectory of Softex, which expanded its activities offering new projects capable of making our industry even more solid and invested in strategic actions of internationalization, attraction of investments and commercial intelligence. We will continue this process. We will act in line with government guidelines and in synergy with other sector entities in initiatives aimed at quality, training, internationalization, market intelligence and innovation”, analyzes Ney Leal.
