Solution uses Facebook Messenger chatbot and brings convenience to consumers and invoice issuers

Nexxera, Visa and Adiq launched on August 1st the "pay your bills", a chatbot that allows the payment of bills referring to their consumption bills with credit card in an innovative way. With the solution, Visa cardholders will be able to pay their consumption bills in different segments - utilities (electricity and water), governments , education, condominiums, insurance and health – using Facebook Messenger, thus avoiding going to banks or lottery houses, or even typing the bar code on the internet. Initially, the new payment solution will be available exclusively in Greater Florianópolis , in the pilot phase, the city that hosted the innovation presentation event, which was attended by Carlos Sacco, ABES' Relationship and Services Director.

The operation of this chatbot is simple. The consumer can use the QR code or barcode available on their account to access the chatbot or simply "call" the "Pay your bills" profile in Messenger.

After the consumer enters the CPF and confirms other personal data, the bot identifies the accounts associated with their name and allows them to make the payment within Facebook Messenger itself, through Visa Checkout.

"The Nexxera Group, focused on user facilities, invested in the entry of companies that generate consumer accounts in this model, eliminating the need for them to make changes to their current platforms. This is possible due to Nexxera's services - which offer the payment engine transforming the current models for using cards with the necessary reconciliation to control the payment. We believe in a strong expansion of the model and in the user base", says Edson Silva, President of the Nexxera Group.

The solution was developed based on APIs plugged directly into the websites of companies, such as condominiums and schools. They are now ready to pay invoices from Casan, Celesc, Condominiums managed by Embracon, IPTU Florianópolis and Sinepe – Union of Private Schools of Santa Catarina, represented by Colégio Antônio Peixoto. The service has no installation cost.

"We use human-centric methodology to launch solutions that meet people's needs. Amidst digital transformation, the 'Pay your bills' chatbot offers consumers convenience and time by bringing accounts together in a digital channel and scheduling their payments safely", says Eduardo Abreu, vice president of Business Development at Visa do Brasil.

The project relies on BS2 acquiring company Adiq to process payments. "We developed the project together with Nexxera and Visa, seeking to create something innovative that generates value for people, simplifying their lives and saving time. financial transactions and making it possible for the credit card to have this new functionality", explains Renata Pentagna Guimarães Martini, executive vice president of BS2.

For companies that generate consumer bills, it is a new paradigm that allows them to compete with competitive costs with the boleto, in addition to allowing their customers to pay their bills more easily, safely and, also, accumulate points or miles in your card, as appropriate. The solution adds value to brands, reduces delinquency – due to the possibility of consumers choosing to put their account on the card again – and allows the opening of new communication channels for payment.

As for the consumer, it is a simple, convenient solution that offers the possibility of concentrating the largest number of accounts in a single channel, if that is the preference. Paying these consumer bills with the card also allows for greater flexibility, with the opportunity to accumulate points and miles, when available from the card issuer.

"Pague your bills" is now online for citizens of Florianópolis and should begin its expansion to other cities in Brazil this semester. To access it, just click on this link.
