KLAS Research's 2025 Report consolidates the Brazilian company's leadership in Latin America and positions it among the world's largest EHR players

MV, a Brazilian multinational leader in healthcare technology, has achieved a historic global milestone: it was recognized by KLAS Research, the leading independent healthcare market intelligence institute, as the fifth-largest global provider of electronic health record (EHR) systems. The 2025 global market share report ranks MV alongside industry giants such as Epic, Dedalus, InterSystems, and MEDITECH, an unprecedented achievement for a Latin American company.

KLAS's analysis highlights that the SOUL MV platform, developed in Brazil, is currently the EHR solution with the largest hospital presence in Latin America, serving 894 hospitals in the region, a number that places MV as the absolute leader in the region.

Leadership in Latin America: Regional Comparison

According to the report*, the Latin American regional ranking is led by MV with more than the other companies combined.

This impressive performance confirms MV's penetration and consolidation as a leading player in hospital technology in Brazil and throughout Latin America.

"Being among the world's top five companies in electronic health records is a tremendous honor and recognition of the excellence of technology developed in Brazil. This reinforces our commitment to digitally transforming healthcare in Latin America and beyond. The responsibility is enormous, but our purpose has always been to lead with innovation and a positive impact on people's lives," says Paulo Magnus, CEO of MV.

Consistent growth and market conquest

In addition to its installed base, the KLAS report identifies MV as the company with the highest number of new hospital clients ("hospital wins") in Latin America between 2019 and 2023, totaling 154 new institutions, almost double the number of the second-place company. This figure demonstrates MV's continued growth in complex and competitive markets.

The report also shows that 2024 saw the highest volume of validated contracts in Latin America, reflecting the region's accelerating digital transformation. Brazil accounted for more than 80% of these transactions, reinforcing MV's strategic role in developing the national digital health ecosystem.

"We know that each country has different challenges and structures. What works in Brazil isn't always exactly replicated in other healthcare systems. Even so, concepts like interoperability, artificial intelligence, and patient-centered care, which we've already successfully applied, are likely to take hold throughout Latin America," emphasizes Paulo Magnus.

Local capacity with global projection

MV's presence among the top five global EHR vendors transcends statistical significance; it represents international validation of the innovative capacity developed in Latin America. In a global landscape still dominated by companies from the Northern Hemisphere, MV proves that cutting-edge technology and robust solutions can also emerge and thrive in the Global South.

"While Latin America still has a fragmented model for the use of healthcare technology, MV proves that it has the expertise, talent, and strategic vision to lead the sector's digitalization, not only in the region, but also as a global benchmark in hospital innovation," concludes Magnus.
