Fabio Rua highlighted the impact of technology on people's lives

During the inauguration dinner of the new board and the new composition of the Deliberative Council of ABES, held this Monday (04/1), at the Cantaloup Restaurant, in São Paulo, the new ambassadors of the Brazil Movement, Digital Country. The initiative is a way of valuing and recognizing professionals, researchers and authorities who stand out for their work and history of supporting the information technology sector and the digital transformation of Brazilian society.
 
“It's not just people who are passionate about technology, but about the transformation it represents and which impacts millions of people. That's why we have a committee that identifies these committed people to recognize and honor them,” said Fábio Rua, director of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs at IBM Latin America, co-founder of the multisectoral initiative led by ABES.
 
The plates were delivered by ABES representatives to Mr. Ayres Britto, lawyer and former STF minister, represented by Saul Tourinho; Cristina de Luca, journalist, columnist for UOL and editor for IT Mídia; Miguel Luiz Petrili, chairman of the Board of Directors of IT Mídia; Werter Padilha Cavalcante, CEO of Sawluz and Taggen and Coordinator of the Internet of Things Committee at ABES; Mariano Gordinho, Executive President of ABRADISTI (Brazilian Association of Information Technology Distribution); Benjamin Quadros, Chairman of the Board of Brasscom and CEO of BRQ; Aline Cardoso, Municipal Secretary of Work and Entrepreneurship of the city of São Paulo.
