Competitive Brazil Movement is a new partner

How to make a difference in 2018? This is a question that will guide the plans and actions of Movimento Brasil, País Digital, an initiative of ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies, with the support of several institutional partners, for this year.

According to Andriei Gutierrez, Coordinator of the Regulatory Committee of ABES and the Movimento Brasil, País Digital, the project emerged in 2016 to democratize access to qualified information on the collection, use and sharing of data, stimulate debates and raise awareness about the world. and promote educational work on safety in this environment.

“Since then, Brasil País Digital has achieved more visibility and engagement. In 2017, we strengthened our presence on social networks, launched an educational campaign on security and citizenship on the network, participated in events throughout Brazil, became a meeting point and a social actor in favor of the country's digital transformation. We are now going to intensify our dialogue and interaction with the population, decision makers and other social groups”, he highlights.

For this, the movement began 2018 engaged in the organization of the seminar Digital Revolution in Brazil: Technology, State and Society held for the advisors of the Chamber of Deputies, in Brasília (DF), promoted in conjunction with the Parliamentary Front for Digital and Collaborative Economy of the National Congress.

Another novelty implemented was the visual redesign of the portal, with the adoption of a cleaner visual standard, in order to improve the user's browsing experience. “In an effort to democratize educational content and provoke our followers to leave their comfort zone, we have made available a new section of videos from institutional partners that propose to bring reflections, in a space that we call disruptive dialogues”, says Andriei. In addition, the production of content about citizenship on the web will be intensified, as will the dissemination of successful cases on the use of data in health, education, accessibility and well-being. A goal for the coming months is the opening of a LinkedIn page, with content focused on decision makers.

2108: a digital transformation agenda

In Andriei's assessment, 2018 will be a year of important debates, intensified by the electoral calendar. Digital transformation is already underway in Brazil and people are not always aware of it. “The movement has the merit of highlighting this, of showing that changes are not a promise of the future. We believe that we can and should collaborate with public policy makers so that this digital transformation contributes to the fight against inequalities, stimulates the exercise of citizenship and Brazilian competitiveness in the global scenario”, he explained. “Whatever president is elected in 2018, he will need to have a digital transformation agenda for the country. In this election year, we will act very strongly in training and informing Brazilian voters and candidates who need to present their strategies”, he adds.

new partner

Another novelty of the movement is the entry of a new institutional partner, the Movimento Brasil Competitivo (MBC), which also works to stimulate dialogue and partnerships between the public, private and third sectors. MBC joins the following partners: ABIIS (Brazilian Alliance of the Innovative Health Industry),  ABRANET (Brazilian Internet Association), Assespro (Association of Information Technology Companies),  Brasscom (Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies),  BSA  - The Software Aliance,  CNI - National Industry Council, FENAINFO (National Federation of Computer Companies),  Brazilian Institute of Digital Law,    ITI Decodes (Information Technology Industry Council) and IAB Brazil (Interactive Advertising Bureau).

“It is a year to plant the seeds of the fruits that we will reap in the short, medium and long term. We will share, add partners and work towards this agenda, because we believe that the Movimento Brasil, País Digital can make a difference”, concludes Andriei.
