Delivery was made by the president of ACATE during the launch of
programs to promote innovative entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurs from the technological sector and political leaders from Santa Catarina learned on Wednesday (26.08) the new BRDE financing line for micro and small entrepreneurs, Finep Inovacred Expresso, which finances projects of up to R$ 150 thousand for micro and small companies with an innovative profile. Together with the funding institution, the Santa Catarina Association of Technology Companies (ACATE) signed an agreement with the cooperative system Cecred/CrediFiesc to enable the start of operations.

On a visit to Florianópolis, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Aldo Rebelo, participated in the ceremony. The Government of the State of Santa Catarina also announced the launch of the Stemmer Award and the 5The edition of the Sinapse da Inovação program, which will grant resources of up to R$ 60 thousand per company to transform 100 good ideas into innovative businesses, an amount of R$ 6 million in funding.

In the opening speech, the president of ACATE, Guilherme Bernard, took advantage of the presence of the minister, Aldo Rebelo, at the association's headquarters to register five requests from the technological sector of Santa Catarina to the Federal Government. The demands involve working around a regional FINEP office to expand the State's support and the decentralization of Softex's actions in favor of the internationalization of technology companies. Another claim is the withdrawal of the ICT sector from the end of the payroll exemption benefit.

The creation of a guarantee fund to support technology companies in the acquisition of financing was another request, along with the suggestion that the State boost the development of technologies for the public sector by acquiring these solutions itself. The purchasing power of the State generates highly qualified jobs in companies and boosts the economy, and many of the technology companies in Santa Catarina that today are national references had public organizations as their first client.

Minister Aldo Rebelo highlighted the role played by the productive sector of Santa Catarina in facing economic difficulties and maintaining competitiveness.

“We take Santa Catarina as a reference for one of the most innovative states in the country, with a competitive industry that is facing the adjustments that we are currently experiencing in Brazil. It is a state that takes advantage of the exchange rate devaluation by increasing its exports and that develops its own programs involving the productive class, entrepreneurs and with some support from the federal government.”

The president of ACATE highlighted that the network performance model that has been adopted by companies in Santa Catarina is the differential in question. “Santa Catarina's value is to nurture this great proximity between all the agents of the innovation ecosystem, operating together in the same environment”, highlighted Bernard.
