Ministry of Economy launches public consultation to improve contracting of IT infrastructure services

The new model to be created for the federal government's bids aims to save public resources

Interested in hiring Information Technology (IT) services can already participate, since 8/12/2020 of the public consultation opened by the Secretariat of Digital Government of the Ministry of Economy on the gov.br portal. The objective is to implement a new model for the tenders of 220 federal government agencies that integrate the so-called Information Technology Resources Management System (Sisp) and to save compared to previous contracts.

Contributions can be made until the 26th of August. Public consultation is one of the steps provided for in the creation of the document to be followed from planning to execution of each contracting of specialized technical services for IT infrastructure operations, without exclusive dedication of labor. The contract comprises the following services: monitoring, support of the computing environment, user support and technical support for IT management.

Last year, the total amount committed by the bodies that make up Sisp for the contracting of IT goods and services was R$ 4.72 billion.

"We are observing recent experiences that may have generated savings in relation to previous contracts and preparing other contracting models, with different services and application areas, to cover IT government purchases", explains the Director of Shared Operations of the Digital Government Secretariat , Merched Cheheb de Oliveira. "What is intended is an increase in standardization from the planning of IT bids to the model of remuneration and service provision, encouraging good practices in hiring and greater predictability in purchases".
