Startups can apply until January 30th

The Technological MIDI, an incubator managed by the Santa Catarina Association of Technology Companies (ACATE) and maintained by Sebrae/SC, opens a selection process for six new startups to join its team. Start-ups and entrepreneurs will go through three stages of evaluation: project description, face-to-face interview and final panel. Enrollment takes place between January 2nd and 30th and the selection result comes out in March, but before that, candidates will be able to participate in a training to qualify the presentations of proposals, on January 25th, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Applications must be made through the website. https://www.eventick.com.br/workshop_midi.

More information about the application and evaluation criteria can be found in the public notice of the selection process, as well as the required documents. Gabriel Santos, MIDI coordinator, emphasizes that the entrepreneur is the main person evaluated during the process: “Solutions can change over time, what will make the company progress is the will and disposition of the entrepreneurs”, explains Santos.

Pre-incubation – The gateway to an incubator is the pre-incubation phase, which can last up to 12 months and is when entrepreneurs validate the minimally viable product or service or business model, based on interaction with the market. To start the MIDI pre-incubation process, it is not necessary for the company to be formally constituted – if selected, it will have up to 90 days to be formalized.

During the pre-incubation period, startups will be allocated in a shared space owned by the incubator, at the ACATE Innovation Center (CIA) Primavera. Entrepreneurs will have access to various services and benefits, such as contact with a network of entrepreneurs and investors, training, specialized consulting, membership in ACATE and participation in Business Verticals. The monthly contribution in this modality is R$ 550 per job.

After this phase, the company will be able to be incubated in the Technological MIDI. For Kamila Bittarello, the entity's technical coordinator, success depends on the dedication of the entrepreneurs. “It is necessary that the team is involved with the project, that it has technical, management and market knowledge so that its development is complete”, he highlights.
