Microsoft inaugurated on May 31, in Campinas (SP), the new Microsoft Innovation Center, the company's innovation center developed in partnership with the Eldorado Institute. The opening of the space, the first MIC in the state of São Paulo, is part of the Institute's 18th anniversary celebrations, which will have an expansion of the technological infrastructure and initiatives to accelerate startups.

MICs are local diffusers of innovative technologies that support and foster the developer, industrial and startup ecosystem, accelerating the use of new technologies and increasing the sector's competitiveness on the international stage. In addition, they contribute to entrepreneurship, as they are meeting points between companies, academia, entrepreneurs and developers of new technologies in general.

According to Microsoft's Director of Innovation, Alessandro Jannuzzi, the inauguration is the result of a successful partnership between the company and the Eldorado Institute. He points out that the space will serve as a stimulus for the creation of innovative ideas. “Supporting education and stimulating entrepreneurship are among our priorities, because we believe that both are the foundations for the country's development”, comments Jannuzzi.

“For Eldorado, being a Microsoft Innovation Center is of special importance in promoting access to cutting-edge technology, generating applied innovation from the beginning of a young person’s career at a university to their journey towards entrepreneurship and professional success”, he says. Jaylton Ferreira, superintendent of the Eldorado Institute.
