The job market has changed drastically in recent years. New professions emerged, others ceased to exist and qualification requirements increased, especially in the area of technology. For Microsoft, having a well-prepared workforce is essential, not only to guarantee employability, but also to promote innovation and economic development in Brazil. Based on this premise, the company teamed up with SoulCode, a digital inclusion edtech, to launch a Bootcamp focused on training People with Disabilities in Cloud Concepts and Artificial Intelligence in the Microsoft Cloud. After completing the knowledge track, students will have the possibility of being hired by Microsoft. The course, completely online and free, focused on Microsoft Cloud Technology and AI Analyst careers, is expected to start in March and conclude in June 2024. In this first stage, it is planned to train 30 People with Disabilities students, in online 100% classes, from Monday to Friday, full time, from 8am to 6pm, for approximately 12 weeks. In addition to technical training, the training includes mentoring from Microsoft professionals, development of behavioral skills and 1 hour of English class daily for each participant through the Tech English platform.

This initiative is part of Microsoft Conecta+, a portal that brings together all of the company's free training and retraining programs, made available to the general public, including initiatives carried out in conjunction with other companies and entities. On the platform, you can also find Microsoft Reactor courses, exclusive training for women, Escola do Trabalhador 4.0 courses, in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Employment, as well as LinkedIn Learning learning trails. The available content caters to all levels of technology knowledge and aims to offer the main skills required by the job market, at different levels, that is, from digital literacy to more advanced modules such as cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, science data and cybersecurity.

SoulCode has already impacted more than 100 thousand people on its digital education platform, and around 2000 through immersive bootcamps that were inserted into the job market, in 25 Brazilian states. According to edtech, the beneficiaries are aged between 18 and 66 years old, 52% are women, 35% LGBTQIA+ and 14% People with Disabilities. Furthermore, 49% declared themselves black and brown and 3% oriental.

All training and retraining programs are part of Microsoft Mais Brasil, a comprehensive plan launched by the company in October 2020, which aims to reinforce Microsoft's long-term commitment to the country, which has lasted 35 years, and has as one of the pillars encourage access to education, professional training and entrepreneurship.
